It was actually a weekend show with camping allowed in the reasonably extensive grounds / gardens and the pub, which is full of character, sells a good range of Real Ales and Ciders.

ReplyDeleteLuckily there are a fair few pubs left here in the UK that retain their originality and character though sadly many that look from the outside like they do until you get inside. Many have also become Dining establishments where the chef's think they are Gordon Ramsey / Jamie Oliver and the small portions of food come served on chunks of wood or grey slate. The 'Old Barn' was full of quirky character, friendly bar staff and apparently only serves snacks and sandwiches..................Oh yes, glad you liked the bike pics too !
