Bristol (MAG) Bike Show 2016

It was the Bristol Bike show today held in the same place as where the 'Auto Italia Day' takes place.
Due to the poor weather forecast everybody knew that attendance numbers would be down but there was still a surprisingly good turnout.
I met up with my friend Fran at around 10.30am and only encountered a little bit of drizzle though it had been raining on and off from the early hours of the morning.
As I've mentioned numbers were down but I still found a few bikes that caught my eye with a few being chopper style bikes and particularly the ultra low custom - I'd loved to have been around to see the owner activate the suspension and ride off..........all very clever stuff with lots of detail touches!

Luggage Laden Enfield

A few weeks back I had a number of emails back and forth with Ben Part who also included a few bike pics. One was of his 500 Enfield  that he'd recently taken on a trip up to Norfolk. Since the first time I met him approx 17 years ago he has always amazed me with the amount of luggage that he fits onto his bikes.
Okay I know it might not be quite as practical but just goes to show that you don't need a big touring bike for trips away.
From Ben's recent trip

Approx 17 years ago on his now world famous Guzzi.
This is with a large amount of the actual luggage removed and also less the
young lady who rode pillion on the seat hump!

Calne Bike Day .......2016

It was Calne Bike Day last Saturday. Once again for this event the weather stayed fine and being approx only 30 miles east of Bristol we popped along. This day seems to get bigger every year and I didn't have the time to look at probably half of what was there.
From what I saw my own absolute favourite was a very low slung rusty Harley. How practical.....who cares..............a small block of wood for a side stand............all just very cool !

Guzzi Club Stand

Personally I've always thought the tail piece should be
a good number of inches shorter in length
