National Sprint Association meeting at Westonzoyland

I went to the Sprint at Westonzoyland yesterday, which is not far from Glastonbury and just outside of Bridgewater. I haven't been for a few years and this was the last one of the year to be held here.
I must make more effort to go at least once a year (I think that there are four per year held here) as the ride there and back is not bad and the Sprint itself really good especially if you like the smell of fuel and having your eardrums wrecked.
My friend Joe tells me that this BSA A65 engined sprinter
outran a GSXR

Just the bare essentials !

Just a thing of beauty !

Henry Body who is in his mid 70's aboard his Championship winning 600cc Douglas.
Henry himself has one eye,a artificial hip and a pacemaker but just watch him go !

Henry's friend readying the bike for another run.
You will be amazed if you ever see it in action

Another........ Bristol Italian Day

After our little excursion to the Norton day in Oxfordshire last Saturday, on the Sunday there was another Italian Day down at the Bristol Docks. I believe that it was organised by the same people as the April 'Auto Italia Day' but I wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near as big. Sure enough it wasn't, with little in the way of cars. The twenty or so bikes that were there, were huddled into a specific parking area so guess that they were never meant to be part of it anyway. Mine,Fran's and Tony's Guzzi's were the oldest there.

Apparently the wire wheels are a unusual sight on one of these.

90% of the cars were modern and they don't do a lot for me

Norton Cafe Racer day

My friend Martin and I went to the Oxfordshire Branch Norton Owners Club cafe racer day. Open to all and held at a lovely little pub in the village of Eaton just outside of  Oxford.
Quite a good ride both ways on some pleasant roads and once again the rain held off.
Thought we might meet up with Adam -ItalianMotor mag - who lives not so very far away, but that didn't happen although he did go.
As Martin commented, the engine looks a little high in the frame
but still a gorgeous bike

Love the pipework

Looks well used

How low can you go?

Italian Motor magazine / Motonero Guzzi's

Adam of ItalianMotor magazine sent me this pic that he took back in the Summer.  He is using it for his webpage. I really like the pic so thought I'd post it up.

Can't wait for the potential comments from a couple of my mates about my Happy face being on there.
